The Inkblot Project

When I was in school I was often bullied for being a "big girl." I didn't adhere to people's standards of beauty, and when it started to become obvious that I was queer, the bullying became even worse. When I discovered Steven Universe and saw Garnet, and saw that she was the embodiment of queer relationship, and a "big" girl … I cried, and she has always been in my heart, and now, on my arm!

I decided that I was no longer going to let others define me. Not only did I get out of my box, I ripped it up, tore it to shreds, burned it and buried it in the ashes. I am who I say I am. The Phoenix represents being reborn and recreated.
